We are now in the endgame. Football Manager 2024 is coming to its conclusion, and I think we can all agree, thankfully so. But with such a ridiculously long game cycle, there’s been more than the usual share of memories along the way. So, to help us reminisce one last time, I’ve dug up some data on the most signed players in Football Manager 2024.
Thanks to the lovely folk at FM Scout, I’ve been able to find out who made the top list and I reckon most of you will have heard of these guys…

Ousmane Diomande:

First name on the list, and it’s no surprise. An absolute monster at centre-back who develops into one of the best defenders of all time. He’s been so good that Crystal Palace have reportedly identified him as their top target to replace Marc Guéhi if he joins Liverpool. The deal isn’t confirmed yet, though, so if we’re lucky, he might still be somewhat affordable in Football Manager 2026.

Michael Kayode:

Everyone knows how tough it is to find a good wing-back in Football Manager. So it’s no wonder Michael Kayode is one of the most signed players. Brilliant physicals, great crossing, he’s an FM player’s dream. Sadly, he’s since moved to Brentford, which means he won’t come cheap anymore. Once again, Brentford’s recruitment is second to none.

Assan Ouédraogo:

Next up, a central midfielder. RB Leipzig are definitely using Football Manager to scout their signings, they’re always snapping up the best wonderkids. There’s a reason this German starboy is one of the most signed players in the game: he develops into a world-beater. Even at 17, he’s already incredibly well-rounded. When he hits his prime, there’s nobody better.

Sverre Halseth Nypan:

Sadly, this one won’t be available for much longer. He’s signed for Manchester City in real life, so don’t expect to see him on the FM26 “most signed” list. That said, the AI in Football Manager is notoriously bad at developing young players, so you might still be able to snap him up on the cheap a couple of seasons into your save.

Valentín Barco:

It’s been a wild ride for Barco. He signed for Brighton, had two loan spells, and now finds himself at Strasbourg. Does that mean he’ll be as cheap as he was at Boca Juniors? Probably, yes. But does that also mean his potential ability might drop by the time FM26 rolls around? Also, probably yes.

Honourable Mentions:

  • Roony Bardghji
  • Giorgio Scalvini
  • António Silva
  • Wilfried Gnonto
  • Dennis Seimen
  • Victor Osimhen

Final Thoughts:

Any surprises? Anyone you expected to make the list but didn’t? And more importantly, who was your most signed player in Football Manager 2024? Let me know in the comments!
