FPL GOAT brings you his favourite differential options to consider ahead of GW1 of the 25/26 FPL season. Nailing differentials early in the season helps managers start off the season strong, avoid unnecessary transfers and feel leaves plenty of budget for those premium players like Salah and Haaland that we all want to own in a perfect world.
Differentials are essentially low EO players, generally around or below 10% ownership in FPL, that can provide similar returns and value as higher EO players, while benefitting a much smaller portion of FPL managers. This is so valuable to FPL managers because successful differentials help you gain rank quickly if they pay off in a big way. So without further ado, here are the GOAT’s favourite differentials for the 25/26 FPL season:
1. Strand Larsen |
2. Evanilson |
3. Fullkrug |
4. Gakpo |
5. Arias |
6. Porro |
7. Diouf |
Strand Larsen is currently being massively overlooked coz of the man city Fixture in GW1 but after that he has some amazing fixtures. He plays EVE, LEE, BHA, SUN, BUR in the first 10GWs. Last season he got 14 goals and 4 assists in 30 starts and will possibly be on penalties as well. He is a great option for someone who wants a cheap striker and wants to shift their funds more in midfield.
After the Liverpool fixture in GW1 Bournemouth have some decent fixtures and while better forwards are £7.5m and above evanilson Comes in £0.5m cheaper with great numbers last season. He scored 15 goals and 5 assists last season in just 28 starts which relates to an attacking return every 1.8 games. He could be a big differential to start the season and would possibly on penalties as well.
He could be a really good cheap forward, a great 2nd or 3rd forward option. West Ham have the promoted Sunderland in GW1 and Leeds in the first 10GWs with only 1 red fixture in the first 10GWs. 3 goals and 2 assists last season in just 6 starts, a big caveat with him his is abysmal injury record. Has started the pre season in amazing touch with 2 goals in 3 games and has looked amazing. If he can stay fit he could be one of the best cheap options which could potentially cover Bowen too.
Currently being massively overlooked because people are running towards the shinier toy in Wirtz but I think Gakpo possess way more attacking and goal threat than Wirtz. He has 10 goals and 5 assists in just 23 starts last season in the league and started the pre-season explosively scoring 4 times in 4 games with a brace against Athletic Club. The only downside with him could be he might see reduced minutes or some benchings if Isak signs and Slot moves to a front 2 of Isak and Ekitike. Till then he is one of the best options playing for the best attack in the league.
New right winger signed from Fluminense. Can play CM or AM too. He has 1 goal and 4 assists in 12 starts in Serie A. Should be nailed for Wolves after they lost Cunha. He scored a goal vs Girona in his first start for Wolves and looked great in just 26 minutes of play time. He is a great attacking cheap Midfielder if you don’t wanna go for a defcon Midfielder.
A very underrated defended option at that price. Spurs have one of the best of not the best fixtures runs for the first 10 GWs. Porro’s appeal is dented because of the likes of Murillo, Milenkovic and Tarkowski have overshadowed him because of their amazing defcon points predictions from last season. A huge blessing in disguise for Porro is with Maddison possible out for months with an injury in pre season, therefore Porro will likely be on set pieces, corners and some free-kicks too.
He scored 10 goals and 3 assists in 50 games for Slavia Prague in the last 2 seasons playing as a wingback. He managed a clean sheet and an assist vs Bournemouth in pre-season and played full 90 minutes. He looks like an amazing option and a better option than Wan-Bissaka who is currently a massive 31% owned in FPL. One of the best £4.5m option along with the likes of Andersen from Fulham and Richards at Palace.
